Chilling poultry and making ice for industrial applications since 1949. The growth of the poultry industry in the U.S. and around the world can be attributed in part to Morris and Associates' innovations. The company created the first continuous line poultry chilling equipment, the first efficient rechilling system, the first giblet chilling system, the first high speed chilling system, and the first clean-in-place (CIP) systems, among other groundbreaking achievements.
Morris ice makers, rakes, storage bins, and conveyors keep the commercial ice industry moving. A collateral benefit of the company's ingenuity in poultry processing was being the first with ice making innovations: the high volume ice makers that poultry processors need have been adapted specifically for other industries. Ice makers thus became an additional specialization of the company, and over the years Morris has created some of the finest high volume ice equipment now used in the seafood, pharmaceutical, concrete, fresh produce, and food processing industries, and especially among packaged ice retailers.
